What I’ve Observed Since 2009

As a professional permanent weight loss coach skilled in helping my clients heal the real problems that stand in the way of the weight loss you crave, I’ve been fortunate to have many years to observe several patterns that are shared with very smart, successful women who aren’t able to get control of their eating simply by doing a food diet.

Over the past 11 years (I began coaching in 2009 – 11 years as of the time of this writing!) what my weight loss coaching clients have brought to the table are the most common fears that can sabotage your weight loss.

Easy (for me) to See

These fears are are very easy for me to spot when working with my weight loss coaching clients, which is good for them so that they can get unstuck fast! This is simply a matter of my training as well as intuitive talents, but what’s interesting is these fears are hidden road blocks for my coaching clients until we work together.

It’s having the real-time, two-way communication over the phone that leads to the breakthroughs it’s either impossible to get on your own, or it takes 10-20 years of trial and error when you just can’t see what is hidden from your view. The reason it’s hidden is because you are living in it now. It’s your “normal” and is simply what you continue to struggle with, unfortunately.

These weight loss, hidden roadblocks would cause my coaching clients to feel hopeless and frustrated prior to working with me because they knew exactly what they needed to do to lose weight, but they couldn’t get themselves to do it, and stick with it.  

The first step is raising your awareness of your roadblocks starting by recognizing any fears that are stopping you and then, taking action with the right tools to dissolve them.

And it’s Easy to Stay Stuck

What most people do at this point is try to force themselves back to another food diet, but within one to seven days, they give up on it again. Their internal fears/roadblocks pull them back into poor food choices, hopelessness, and further self-doubt that they will ever break free.

Quite honestly, it’s a heavy heavy muck-mire to endure, and most choose food to try to feel better about it. Unfortunately that choice reinforces the entire pattern of struggle and ongoing self-sabotage.

Keep in mind that these are only the most common fears shared across the board with my weight loss coaching clients over the past 11 years (since 2009 – might be longer depending on when you are reading this article). I could make a list of 50 Fears or more. I’ve kept this top 10 list contained to the 10 most common fears that will sabotage your weight loss.

It’s more than likely you have fears that intersect with this list and/or fears that you might think are odd or weird, but it doesn’t matter.

What I mean specifically when I say “it doesn’t matter” is that it doesn’t matter what the fear is, there’s no such thing as a “wrong fear” – there’s only fear that is standing between you and your weight loss goal. It’s the FEAR that will keep you fat because the Fear Fuels your unhealthy eating behaviors, especially at night, during times of stress, and whenever you use food as a source of comfort or as a crutch.

What is important is you take the right steps to dissolve your fears that are sabotaging your weight loss now because if you don’t, they will continue to stop you from reaching your goal weight.
