Do you want to lose weight and do it again and again?
Or do you want to lose weight and keep it off? (without a battle!)
If you want to lose weight and and keep it off for life then you need to replace your unhealthy lifestyle with a healthy lifestyle.
There is no quick fix for this. No diet shake, diet pill, or crash diet will ever give you lasting weight loss success. And do note that the reasons you’ve been doing the quick fixes are a sign of a mindset issue (a weight loss mindset is essential for weight loss success).
After all if a prescription for a diet and exercise plan were enough then no one would be overweight, right? It’s not like there isn’t enough information out there on how to eat and exercise. Also you need to ensure that you’ve got a weight loss mindset before you begin (that’s ninety percent of your battle today) and also know that some fad diet or quick fix magic fairy dust will never give you that mindset, nor will it give you a healthy lifestyle.
Instead of continuing to search for quick fixes and complete healthy lifestyle is about making changes from the inside out; inner changes that will make it easy for you to change your physical actions and create a healthy lifestyle. You see, anyone can force themselves to follow a diet and exercise routine, but why don’t you stick with it? What are the thoughts that you’re thinking and the feelings you’re feeling? Are you white-knuckling it all the way? If you are then that sure isn’t going to last; who the heck wants to live like that?!
When you have a weight loss mindset it makes living a healthy lifestyle fun – it’s a lifestyle filled with healthy, whole foods that you enjoy eating because you like their taste and you love the energy they give you. You not only love the energy that whole foods give your body but you also love the focus and both mental and emotional clarity they give you. You also love how you feel when you’re moving your body.
You love treating yourself with healthy actions because you really like who you are. In fact you not only like yourself but you love yourself. You treat you like you would treat your own best friend.
Achieving lasting success with your weight is about getting healthy and fit rather than doing a quick fix diet followed by another quick fix diet. Those are the path away from a healthy lifestyle, as well as being the path of a diet mentality. Seeking ways to lose weight at any cost also keeps you stuck in a negative mindset, which only leads to more “stinkin’ thinkin’ ” about your body, your weight, and yourself. This is the opposite of a weight loss mindset, and it’s the diet mentality mindset that most women are in who never feel happy with their weight. A new diet won’t give you that happiness.
What’s exciting is that once you get a weight loss mindset with a proven, step-by-step system, then weight loss actually becomes the by-product of your healthy lifestyle journey. Your main focus becomes your happy and full life, which you lead while losing the weight with ease. All this requires is specific, proven, Inner Self steps which will make living a healthy lifestyle very easy for you to do.
When you have health in your body and your mind this gives you a passion for life which is unrivaled. The whole key is making it very easy for yourself to live a healthy lifestyle. In order to make it easy, you must get a weight loss mindset. I am a new reader and I appreciaet your approach. It is very important to the make the changes from within. There are many ways of losing weight and looking thin…but it shouldn’t stop there. It is important to be healthy and fit rather than slim or thin. You can only do that if you get to appreciate the importance of health. Great post.

Love great questions, and this is a great question.
Once upon a time, it would have been ‘weight loss at any cost’ mostly because the cost of not loosing weight seemed BIG, because what I thought weight loss would bring me I wanted BAD, and because I took everything else – like my health – completely for granted.
But today, weight loss is more a byproduct of what I’m really after which is peace, freedom and well-being, inside and out.
Thank you for promoting the message that a healthy lifestyle is better than any diet!! I think because our society places so much emphasis on appearance, especially for women, that many people do get caught up in the trap of how they look in their clothes. When I made the decision to eat healthy and exercise regularly, my weight stabilized without me even thinking about calories and I got SO much more energy! Plus, another beautiful side effect is that I DO look better in my clothes and my skin has a healthy glow, too. Can’t get all that from a bottle of diet pills!
At last! It is so refreshing to hear someone addressing the only TRUE way to lasting fitness and weight loss — which is changing the INTERNAL thoughts and habits that CREATE the EXTERNAL results!
Your approach is spot on JoLynn! And I’m so grateful for it! : )

Wow! Finally a POSITIVE approach to a very POSITIVE activity.
Thanks for reminding us that there is no “loss” involved in “gaining a valuable goal”.
Ours is 125 pounds and it’s nice being able to enjoy the journey.
Keep up the great work.
