“I’m only interested in Quick Weight Loss!”
“I want to lose weight fast!”
“I don’t care what I have to do, I want this weight off NOW and I want if off QUICK!”
Have you ever heard anyone say something like this, or maybe you’ve even said or thought this yourself before? Well let me ask you this – what’s the rush??
If You’re Enjoying the Ride, What’s the Rush?
If you’re enjoying the process of weight loss and are having fun with it, why is there a need to rush? And besides that, if you’ve had the experience of quick weight loss, where did it get you? Did you keep the weight off? Did you learn how to live as a fit and healthy person does, living a consciously fit lifestyle?
Quick Weight Loss Promises – A Band Aid for a Symptom
The problem is that when you come upon the newest magical diet claim for quick weight loss it’s never the solution. Why? Because overweight is a symptom of another issue, it is not the problem, and if you try to treat only symptom (overweight) without addressing the underlying issue (i.e.: negative self-talk, lack of self-love, self-doubts, etc.), then you are not healting the cause of the symptom.
This is a major flaw in the quick weight loss promises the diet industry continues to give you – you must address the reason that you are overeating and not living a healthy, fit lifestyle if you intend to not only get the weight off but keep it off. If you only look at your fat, your overweight, as being the problem then you’re missing the mark – weight gain is a symptom of an underlying issue and until that issue is fully resolved it will be an uphill battle for you when it comes to weight loss, and who wants to battle with weight and food? I don’t know about you but I sure don’t!
If you would like to get started on healing the inside instead of staying on the treadmill of quick weight loss promises that only address the outer symptom you could start with my 31 Days of Loving Yourself Thin series.
“Quick” Weight Loss = Going Within
If you take action and address whatever it is that is driving you to overeat then you will be on your way to quick weight loss – “quick” meaning that you will save yourself years of struggle of going back and forth “battling” your weight because of continuing to choose the quickie “solution” that never gave you lasting resluts. Healing your inner issues might seem like a longer path to take today but in the end it’s not – take care of your inner self now and you’ll keep off the weight that you lose – sounds like a plan for conscious fitness to me.
We are a nation of instant gratification. Marketers are well aware of this so they know to feed on this desire when introducing all those “fast and easy” weight loss products. While I can certainly understand the appeal, it is sometimes shocking at what people will do. Hello Master Cleanse!

I have been losing very very very slowly …. 50lbs over 4 years … I will never be featured in a commercial this way. However, I am glad for my progress. I wouldn’t mind a quick burst of losing a lot in a short time!
As a nutritional weight loss coach, I hear all about the ways people want to lose weight. The only way that has been proven to be a safe method of losing weight quickly is to flood the body with nutrition during the weight loss process. Health is not compromised. There’s still the problem of keeping it off when habits and lifestyle are not changed. At least I can help with long term health if allowed.

I agree that trying to lose weight fast is not a good method and it usually results in negative results after the weight comes right back. Great article on dealing with weight loss issues.
