Do you constantly tell yourself that it’s sooooo hard to lose weight, that you just don’t know how you can ever get yourself together to do it? Do you tell yourself things like:
- It’s too hard to change
- I’m too old to change
- I’ve been eating like this too long, how can I change now?
- It’s all just tooooo hard, I’m too…..
- busy,
- fat,
- overwhelmed,
- scattered,
- stuck,
- defeated, etc., etc.
Well guess what? If you tell yourself these things, you’re exactly right!! Yep, it’s the truth; you’re right because you are speaking these words and of course you want to be right don’t you? Don’t most people want to be “right”?
Weight Loss IS Hard, If You Think it Is!
What you think is what you get so if you think it’s hard to lose weight, you’re right. On the other hand if you think that it’s easy to lose weight, that your body wants you to feed it whole, healthy, life-giving foods, then you’re right and it will be easy!
But if you think that there’s no way you could ever let go of those dead, unhealthy processed foods, that stuff that’s filled with the HFCS and other refined sugar, filled with unhealthy fats, MSG, loaded down with sodium, and filled with so much other stuff that you aren’t even aware of (do you read all of your labels and understand them?), then you’re right!
You see the problem is that the processed foods are manufactured specifically to make you want to eat more; they keep you on an unhealthy treadmill of low energy and they literally zap your metabolism down to nothing. But…. that food isn’t your problem unless you think and believe that it is – if you think that you can change, that you can create a healthy lifestyle in body, mind, and spirit, then the information you will need in order to accomplish the results you want will come to you.
Meaning that yes, of course you need to get off of that gunky processed food that weighs you down and creates dis-ease in the body and if you believe that you can change, that you can get healthy and fit, then you can! However if you hold negative thoughts and beliefs about whole foods then you will not gravitate towards them and allow them to feed your body life and nutrition.
It’s all in what you focus on and what you think, which in simple terms, are your beliefs. Whatever you think over and over again becomes a belief and if you think it’s too hard to change and lose weight and you repeat that often enough, you’ve now got a limiting belief that you must work out before you will be successful at long term weight loss and maintenance.
Weight Loss Is Easy (If You Think So!)
In order to lose weight there are changes you will need to make in your lifestyle, but it doesn’t have to be difficult. It will be difficult if your belief is that it’s hard – you will constantly be fighting against yourself, forcing yourself to change how you eat and exercise while underneath your thoughts are saying something else.
Can you relate to this? To trying to change your outside and lose weight while on the inside you’re into some stinkin’ thinkin’ that keeps holding you back and sabotaging you?
Wanna Hear More?
If you can relate to what I’ve shared with you here, relate to the internal struggle that fights against your desire to lose weight, I’ll be talking about this on my free telecall on Tuesday, October 21 at 6pm EST. I’ll also be sharing the one thing that will always hold you back from successful weight loss, something that if you don’t do this one thing, then you’ll never lose weight.
If you want to hear more then come on along and sign up for my free call – you might get some laughs because I haven’t done a call exactly like this before but so what – if you don’t have fun doing what you’re doing then what’s the point in doing it, right?
GREAT post, and I totally agree!! What you think about you bring about; so true.

Hey your dead right, weight loss is all about mindset.
I see it all the time with my personal training clients.
As soon as I can change a clients mindset – losing weight becomes easy.you
You are what you think about, if you think you can lose weight – you will.
I recently wrote a post about this on my blog…
http://dangerouslyfitpersonaltraining.com/blog/fat-loss-diet-or-exercise/
So true – positive thinking can help you overcome anything. If you think you will fail then you will!
Having tried numerous things in the past I can safely say that the one thing thats helped the most is having my own training blog.
Food has ceased to be an issue as I’m now focused on my training which burns enough calories and controls my appetite such that I can eat what I feel like.
