Shortly after I started Fearless Fat Loss I began writing daily motivational posts. I thought I’d recall two of them today because the message I wrote about is as true today as it was in April, 2007 when I wrote about it.
The Power of Visualization
When you can see it and feel it you can achieve it. Even if you spend only 5 minutes a day focusing in your mind on the picture you wish to create and on the feelings that image gives you, you will make progress towards that vision.
The subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between “reality” and imagined reality and this is a power you can put to use in your life to lose weight.
What You See Is What You Get
In my post What You See Is What You Get you will read about the power of your imagination and how this massive power is at your disposal to help you lose weight. You simply need to apply the effort of focused thoughts, imagination, and feeling during your visualization process.
Imagine Yourself Thin
Also be sure to check out Imagine Yourself Thin, which is along the same lines. Visualization is a powerful tool and if you have the courage to pursue your dreams and the belief that you can get what you want then your imagination and visualization can get you there.
Thanks for bringing up these posts. A great idea to remind readers of some of your past great articles.
I wish more people understood the power of visualization! It truly can effect your life. I try to get up most mornings and go for a walk or run and visualize the day, week and month ahead and what I want to achieve.
This is an important factor in the overall mentality of weight management. The ability to hold a vision of oneself over the hurdles and through the tribulations could make the different between success and failure. Cutting out magazine pictures from magazines with your ideal look on them is an excellent way to accomplish this. Keep up the informative articles!
