Perfectionism can really (really) get in your way if you allow it to. When it comes to weight loss perfectionism can stop you from reaching your goal weight indefinitely. Here’s how:

On Tuesday when you’re not perfect after already “starting over again on Monday” you tell yourself that since you messed up you may as well just wait until next Monday, 6 days away, to start all over again.

But then the next week when you’re not perfect on Wednesday, then what happens when you throw it all out the window to have a food party the rest of the week and start again the next Monday? What happens is that elusive “end goal” stretches further and further out, so far out that you never reach your goal weight because you start over every week due to a lack of perfection.
