When food is the only thing that soothes your anxiety it’s easy to get stuck on the rollercoaster of dieting that never takes you to your desired end goal. You know how at Disney, when you ride on one of the rides you always come to the end and get off? Well the rollercoaster of dieting keeps you on it forever, unless you choose to do something completely different and heal the root of the problem.

What would be the root of the problem? That would be whatever drives your overeating, emotional eating, or binge eating. In the case of this particular topic, your anxiety is part of what drives your emotional eating.

But what if there’s more underneath your anxiety? After all, what if you could solve what makes you anxious so that you wouldn’t feel anxious all the time? If you could do this then why would you need to overeat?
