How often have you wondered why weight loss is hard? If you have ever asked why weight loss is hard you’re not alone. I used to wonder too, so I get it. I understand it can be very very frustrating, especially when you know the basic mechanics of weight loss. You know that you must change what you’re doing, change to healthy eating, healthy exercise, these being the basic mechanics of weight loss.

What so many are missing however, is the rest of the story. You see, healthy eating and exercise are only 7.2% of the solution to your weight loss and overeating problems. That 7.2% piece is the basic part of weight loss that the mainstream diet industry pushes. But what if they’re leaving out the largest piece of the puzzle?

Don’t get me wrong, you absolutely do need to change your eating and exercise habits. But if that were all that was needed, then why would you still be struggling today, right? I mean, all you’d need to do is just follow the healthy eating and exercise plan that works for your body. Simple!

What About Emotional Connections to Food

Ah, but if we’re begin honest, it’s not so simple, is it. It’s especially hard when you have emotional connections to certain foods, when you have childhood storied of fun and good feelings connected to food, or when you are using food to cope and get through your day-to-day life.

It’s very hard to change your eating behaviors when food is your best friend and food is the main thing you look forward to on the weekends.

On top of this, what if you are struggling with emotional eating, compulsive overeating, sugar addiction, late-night secret eating, binge eating, yo-yo-dieting, and lack of motivation to lose weight? This is a LOT to overcome, especially when you’re trying to figure it out alone.

But the mainstream diet industry says that all you need is a food diet to lose weight, right? It says that you don’t need to look at the underlying foundation of what drives your eating, right? The mainstream diet industry says that all you need is to change your eating and then you’ll lose weight, right?
