Why Is Everyone Avoiding Making a Darn Decision?

There are several reasons that the millions of obese and overweight don’t make a solid decision to reach their weight loss goals and I’ll list a few of these issues below but first, why is a decision to succeed so critically important?

Because if you don’t make a solid, firm, do-whatever-it-takes decision to succeed with your weight loss goals then you won’t feel motivated to lose weight, you won’t be committed to your weight loss goals, and the first little “off” moment, thought, or feeling you have, you’ll dive right back into your binge foods and you’ll be right back at it again.

And I don’t mean you’ll be back at it by moving in the direction of your weight loss goals. Instead you’ll be right back into the same old cycle of telling yourself you’ll finally get started on Monday, while eating everything in site in the meantime, and expecting that just because Monday comes that you’ll suddenly feel motivated to lose weight.

This is the exact same problem with New Year’s Resolutions to lose weight.

The truth is, it’s easier to decide to keep overeating because you’ve done it longer than the alternate option of getting all the way to your goal weight, and staying there.

That’s it! But… this creates soooooo many problems, the longer you avoid making the decision to succeed with your weight loss goals, because of course, the longer you delay, the longer you keep overeating.

Just a few of the many problems that result are:

  • Giving up on your weight, your dreams, and yourself
  • Increased self-loathing
  • Health complications due to overweight and obesity
  • Settling for unhealthy relationships due to a lack of self-love and self-worth
