When you’re trying to get motivated to lose weight a mistake that most make is thinking that weight loss motivation is only good for getting started. What you need to do though is keep it going once you start because otherwise, how will you ever get to your goal weight?
Daily Weight Loss Motivation: Keep It Going Once You Start [Day Eleven]
Weight loss motivation requires taking action to get started and then you must keep it going once you start in order to build positive, healthy, weight loss momentum meal after meal, day after day. If you don’t keep it going once you start then you know what’s easier to do? It’s going to be much much easier to keep choosing unhealthy, highly processed, fake foods that motivate you to overeat, binge eat, and mindlessly eat.
And guess what that unhealthy momentum leads to? It leads to more of the same, more of the same, and more of the same. This includes more weight gain too!
You see, momentum is easy to keep going once you start that train of momentum moving down its tracks, but it works both ways: negative, weight gaining, out-of-control eating momentum is very very easy to keep going once you start it moving down the tracks.
This is why New Year’s Resolutions to lose weight don’t work – you just can’t stop a train speeding 500 mph suddenly when the date changes on the calendar. You have built up the unhealthy, ongoing, overeating momentum train speeding along the tracks for too many days, weeks, months and years to suddenly make it stop on a dime.
The good news is once you get your train of healthy,positive, motivated weight loss momentum speeding along on its tracks, then the easier and easier it is to keep it moving! You just need to get it started and keep it going once you start.
