Daily Weight Loss Motivation: Keep It Going To The End [Day Thirty]

Here’s what I mean: first of course, you’ve gotta ramp up your weight loss motivation. If this is the first post in my series you’re reading then go back to the beginning and go through each of the 31 days, each day I touched on a different topic. And of course, change your mindset to a weight loss mindset, this is 92.8% of what will give you the motivation to lose weight.

Ok back to the story…. first, once you get your weight loss motivation going, then you need to keep it going to the end. But what exactly is the end?

A big mistake the majority of overeating, overweight, and obese are making is they think that once they reach their goal weight, then they’ll be done.

But you know what they do next? They relax.

Maybe you can relate. You know when you’ve been doing so good, sticking with healthy eating, losing weight every week, and then you get to your goal weight and you instantly think “Whew, I’m done! I can relax now” and then… you go back to your old eating habits.

You “celebrate”, with food of course.

Hey, I understand, because I’ve done that before, too! But then…

At first it doesn’t seem like a big deal. It’s not like you gain 50 pounds in one night. Just like it took time for you to lose 50 pounds, it takes time to regain all that weight, plus the extra 5 or 10 that always add on each time.

And this is what “relaxing” gets you: you slide right back into your biggest jeans (and you’re glad you didn’t throw them out!) and then, you’re feeling no motivation to lose weight because you’re so disappointed in yourself.

What’s The Answer?

So here’s the switch ya gotta make: keep it going to the end with your healthy, positive, empowered weight loss mindset (which absolutely will give you the weight loss motivation you need!) and once you get to your goal weight, continue using the same mindset tools every day to stay in the same motivated mindset in order to maintain your goal weight.

Your mindset is the critical key to:

  • Getting motivated to lose weight
  • Getting started losing weight
  • Keeping going to lose weight
  • Continuing all the way to your goal weight
  • Getting to your goal weight
  • Maintaining your healthy goal weight for life

Action Is Required

Make no mistake, action is required to get a weight loss mindset so that you can keep going to the end. Also, make sure that you stay consistent daily (once is NOT enough).

  • Change your emotional state
  • Change your behaviors
  • Get the weight loss results you desperately crave and deserve

Ignore your mindset and you’ll continue on the hamster wheel of go-no-where diets that even if they are healthy, they will fail you because you won’t be able to stick with them. Why? Circle back to your mindset.

Mind leads the body. Always. Ignore your mind and you’re really setting yourself up for another failure with your weight. Does this make sense?
