A little something to think about today….no matter how many posts I may write about visualization, the power of the mind-body connection, or how you must change your thoughts in order to change your world (and lose weight!), the end purpose of any inner work you do must result in outer action.
While there are those who can manifest miracles simply through meditation and thought, I’m not writing for those people – I doubt they even go online. 😉 No, I’m writing for you, you who is probably leading a busy life and wants to get the most out of your life. You want to feel good, enjoy life, have an abundance of energy, and sure, you want to look good in your clothes – nothing wrong with that, it’s fun!
So since we’re all on the same page here, I just thought I’d send out the reminder that in the end, action is what will get you the results you want. Now there is a huge difference between inspired action, which I’m all about, and forced action, which is a real drag (and won’t give you lasting results). But either way, action must be taken once you are ready to lose weight and get fit.
How you gain your motivation to take that action is again, a different story – you can either fight tooth and nail and force yourself to change (doesn’t work, believe me, I’ve tried it!), or you can take the effortless path of inspired, natural action. That’s where I’m at now, and it’s really quite fun; very fun in fact!
So that’s just a thought, or a clarification for the day, that action will get you results. And when you’re taking inspired action (ex: this post is really easy for me to write because I was inspired to write it), then you’re in a whole different ball game, and that is fun. 😉

Ah yes, my favorite, inspired action. I’m struggling with that right now (not about weight but rather about a work assignment). Should I or shouldn’t I?

You are so right – it’s doing what inspires you! This is true with all things in your life. It can be a passion, job, diet – really all areas of your life. Of course weight loss action is easier why you are really inspired to find what works best for you.
Thanks for keeping us inspired in more than just fitness.
This is a great post. The key to everything in life is to do whatever it is you’re doing with a sense of passionate feeling. The problem for most people (me included) is that it’s so easy to fall out of this zone. Staying inspired takes a little bit of work, but it’s well worth it

Hi Judie,
Is there a way you can find some inspiration to do your work assignment? And how can you make it FUN? Can you listen to music or inspirational radio with your headphones on while you work?
That’s a tricky one because there are some things that you don’t always want to do but “must”, however what I do is find a way to have fun with it.
JoLynn, yes, I managed to “tweak” the assignment in my mind 🙂 Now I’m happy. Thanks for your great and inspirational blog!!
