So the big question, “Is it too late to lose weight?”…. Well I believe it is not too late to lose weight, in fact I still remember a weight loss success story I read about a woman in her 70’s who lost a substantial amount of weight. She changed what she was eating, she changed how much she was eating, and she had great success eating whole foods and getting consistent exercise.
But the time to get going with this is NOW, there is no time to waste because the more time that passes, the more ingrained unhealthy habits become, and the harder and harder it becomes to change.
You definitely need to find the weight loss motivation to do this too, this is true, but oftentimes you can increase your motivation the more you can get in motion. So it can be a bit of a catch-22: if you wait to get motivated to lose weight, you might never “find” that motivation because emotional eating, binge eating, and compulsive overeating will suck you further backwards, away from your weight loss goals.
Consistency Is Key
If instead you can start taking baby steps today, stay consistent with those steps, and keep moving forward, then you literally can increase your weight loss motivation as you take each baby step and keep moving forward. Yes! This is true, but you’ll only experience it with action.
Words don’t teach, only experience teaches, and experience comes from action.

Because if you had totally given up there’s no way you’d be here reading this article right now. You’d be searching for deep fryer recipes or you’d be at the McDonald’s drive through or you’d be at Dunkin Donuts or the grocery store bakery section, you wouldn’t be looking for motivation to lose weight online.
So… you still have it in you to make changes, it’s evident simply by the fact that you’re reading this article of mine now. Can you see?

You’re willing to Change.
Are you willing to change? If you can answer YES to this question, then it’s not too late for you to lose weight.
You see, change will be a requirement in order for you to lose weight because if what you were doing now was working, you’d already be at your ideal weight. Make sense?
If you are willing to change, willing to do something completely new and different, then it’s not too late for you to lose weight.
What do I mean when I say do something completely new and different? Well, you’ll need to do new things beyond a healthy eating plan, because if all you needed was a healthy eating plan, you’d just have to Do It, right? There wouldn’t be any other problem!
The most important changes to make are the changes you make to your mind. If you change your mind, you can change your body, with ease.
Mindset is 92.8% of what determines how successful you will be with your weight loss. This is why I focus on mindset change with my weight loss coaching clients. Very powerful!
The #3 Sign It’s NOT Too Late for YOU to Lose Weight
You believe you are Worth It.
Do you believe you are Worth the Effort it takes to lose weight (and keep it off)? If you can answer YES then this is fantastic because you’ve gotta believe you are worth it and if you do, then it’s not too late for you to lose weight.
You see, wondering if it’s too late for you to lose weight is not about age, and it’s not about how long you’ve been struggling with overeating and overweight. You might have been struggling a lifetime with unhealthy eating habits like emotional eating, binge eating, or compulsive overeating and you might have also been struggling forever with yo-yo dieting, but none of this means it’s too late for you.
It’s only too late for you if you’ve given up on yourself. If you don’t believe you are worth the effort it takes to change, if you don’t want to change, if you don’t believe you can change, and if you are more committed to your limiting beliefs than you are committed to HOPE that you can change and shift.
So really, the main thing that determines your weight loss success, is YOU. You and your decisions and your beliefs and your commitment. If you are more committed to your comfort zone than you are to your goals, that’s not good because your comfort zone is where you gain more weight. But you can make a decision right now and this decision will determine where you’ll be 6 months from now.
This is the power of decision and if you decide you are worth it and you decide it’s NOT too late for you to lose weight, then you will take action to prove yourself right.

Where Do You Want to Be 6 Months From Now?
Just imagine where you could be 6 months from now. You know, 6 months is enough time to lose 48 pounds if you drop just 2 pounds per week. This means that 6 months from NOW you could be 48 pounds lighter, if you are at least 48 pounds overweight today.
But you’d have to get started immediately because weight loss only occurs over time and if you are able to get going now and stay consistent without any support or mindset shifts, then great! All you need to do now is just do it.
