Why I’m Writing This Series
The reason I’m writing this special series on weight loss motivation is because it’s such a massive problem for millions struggling with a mindset that is holding them back.
Most however, do not realize how big this problem really is: specifically, their mindset problem. They think that their only problem is food when the truth is, 92.8% of their problem is their mindset.

You’re Not Alone
I want you to know that you’re not alone in your food and weight struggles. There are millions upon millions who are struggling right now, as you read these words. Many of them think they are the only one, maybe just like you do.
I’ve had weight loss coaching clients who told me they thought they were the only one struggling to stop overeating, which always amazes me.
The fact is that there are millions out there who are struggling to stop emotional eating, struggling to stop binge eating, struggling to stop overeating, struggling to stop sabotaging their weight loss with nighttime eating, and just plain struggling to lose weight. They don’t feel motivated to lose weight either.
If you share any of these problems along with them then you likely feel like you’re not motivated to lose weight either.
One of the big problems is that the longer you struggle the more you doubt your ability to break free. This cycle of struggle, self-sabotage, and lonely binge eating can continue forever, if you don’t take action to intercept and get on a new path.

Day One: Daily Weight Loss Motivation
Have you ever noticed that the longer you wait for weight loss motivation, the longer you struggle? Weight loss motivation doesn’t suddenly appear no matter how long you wait for it.
Everyone who waits for weight loss motivation keep waiting, and waiting. This may sound counter-intuitive but you really must get in action mode in order to get motivated to lose weight.
I can definitely say that I have experienced the same thing myself. When I had no motivation to lose weight I was very stuck in negativity (negative thinking and negative emotions) and it was extremely easy to keep on overeating. Of course it was very easy to keep eating junky processed foods, too.
I didn’t lose weight while I was waiting, that’s for sure! But I kept on waiting. Waiting to get motivated to lose weight.
So here’s the thing: weight loss motivation is usually NOT going to be found while you’re waiting and looking for it.
The Counter-Intuitive Way to Get Motivated to Lose Weight
Based on my experience and the experience of my weight loss coaching clients, nothing changes without taking action, including weight loss motivation. This is where we have to get real: the wishing-hoping-praying diet just won’t cut it.
However HOW do you take action when you don’t feel motivated? We’re back to the chicken and the egg topic, right? Are you unmotivated because you’re not taking action or are you not taking action because you’re unmotivated?
What I can tell ya is the most successful people in life make fast decisions and move forward with fast action in order to get new results in their life. They don’t sit around and “think about it” because “thinking about it” means dwelling on the negative, worrying about what might go wrong, and feeling bad about where you are now, stuck in the overeating, emotional eating, binge eating, never-ending cycle of overweight and unhappiness.
Stop Waiting. Take Action Now to Get Motivated to Lose Weight
“Thinking about it” really isn’t productive when you examine exactly what “thinking about it” entails. However if you make a decision to get in action mode now, then you can begin to build some positive, healthy momentum step by step, to begin moving towards your ideal weight and fitness level.
This is what I do with my awesome weight loss coaching clients in The Inner Self Diet. We get in immediate action mode to begin changing their mind, so that they can easily change their body.
There’s just no getting around the fact that your mind leads your body. If you don’t get your mind in the right place, then you’ll always struggle with your weight. Why? Because your behaviors match your mindset.
It’s basic neuroscience. Your mind is what moves your body (and your mouth). If you don’t take action to get your mind on the right path, then how can you really expect to lose weight successfully, much less get motivated to lose weight?
Does this make sense?
And of course, it helps immensely to have a plan of action in place, especially when your plan of action is holistic enough to include the missing piece to full success with your weight loss: a weight loss mindset.
Don’t Stay Stuck: Get in Action Mode Now
So the bottom-line is this: action must be taken in order to start moving forward. Don’t fall into the trap of waiting to get motivated to lose weight. I spoke about this specifically on podcast episode #345 which you can listen to instantly here!
